Updated Instructional Hours
Due to inclement weather and school closures, Henrico County Schools has modified the instructional day by adding 20 minutes to the end of the school day from March 3rd through March 26th. Using data to drive our decisions, students will use the additional 20 minutes to focus on Math and Science.
Early Dismissal from the Office now ends at 1:45pm until March 26th.
Carpool/Parent Pick-Up will now begin at 2:30pm.
Buses will now begin dismissing at 2:25pm.
This modification to the instructional day will affect tutoring for the month of March. As we aim to best prepare our 3rd-5th Grade students for their SOL Tests in April, tutoring for the month of March will shift to focusing on students in the SOL grades: 3rd-5th.
Second grade students will no longer have after-school tutoring this year. All second grade students will begin using their normal afternoon transportation effective March 4th. Second grade students will not be staying after school for tutoring beginning March 4th through the remainder of the school year.
Thank you families for your support with the after-school tutoring program this year! We hope to be able to offer similar opportunities to your students next year.
Attendance for Asynchronous Days
Attendance for February 11th and 12th is currently being updated based on teacher input. As a reminder, students were credited with attendance on asynchronous days after completion of assigned tasks online. Check with your child's teacher if you have a question about their attendance on either of those dates.
Spring Fling is March 27th!
Volunteers are needed for the Spring Fling. Send an email to donahoepto23@gmail.com to support us, even if it's not for the full event!
